Julie Costanzo, Executive Producer
Since Julie began producing in the early 90’s she has worked with some of finest directors in the business
and on the biggest brands in the world.
After starting out in commercial production, Julie moved to TV in 1996 and produced the Showtime film, FARMER & CHASE, written and directed by Michael Seitzman, starring Lara Flynn Boyle and Todd Field.
Success in television led her to join Francis Ford Coppola’s Zoetrope, where she produced projects written and directed by Coppola. Projects included David Copperfield’s Broadway debut, “Dreams & Nightmares”, and a live presentation of Abel Gance’s historic “Napoleon”.
After becoming Vice President of Development and Production for Zoetrope in 2001, she produced THE VIRGIN SUICIDES, written and directed by Sofia Coppola.
All the award shows, and Coppola wine, lead Julie back to independent producing and a year abroad making the PBS documentary series ADVENTURE DIVAS.
Julie then returned to the states and got back to her commercial roots. HP, PUMA, Tyco, Hitachi and The San Francisco Chronicle are just a few of companies she produced campaigns for.
Besides her role as Executive producer at Division of Labor, she is producing web films, digital content and TV campaigns, Julie is developing the feature film, THE GIRLS’ GUIDE TO HUNTING AND FISHING, based on the New York Times Best Seller, as well as, THE LAST MAN STANDING, based on the life and times of Geronimo Pratt, and post producing Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s documentary “MISS REPRESENTATION”.
