TBS launched Angie Tribeca in a way no other network show has ever been launched. They played the entire first season in a 25-hour commercial-free marathon viewing. And while binging full seasons is standard behavior for streaming services, it’s not for networks.
Angie Tribeca stars Rashida Jones and was created by Nancy and Steve Carell. We loved the idea of committing so heavily to a launch that you basically cancel everything else on your network. So to help promote the show, we developed the Angie Tribeca Binge Box.
Binge Boxes were sent to critics, influencers, bloggers and other TV big shots.
They were filled with everything a person needs to sit on their ass for 25 hours watching TV: adult diapers, hand sanitizer, pizza delivery coupons, sugar, coffee mugs and the all important customized Angie Tribeca Snuggie knock-off.

One day during the web 1.0 explosion, we created a campaign for a startup called Chipshot.com. Tom Routson directed the campaign. A friend named Todd Sandler played the lead in one of the spots and our cinematographer was none other than Vilmos Zsigmond.
The idea was dumb enough; a golfer tries to hit a shot through some trees but instead hits an errant shot into his friend’s groin.
But keep in mind, Vilmos Zsigmond shot the Deer Hunter, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Deliverance and The Last waltz to name just a few. He was a genius and a legend yet you’d never know this 70-something man lying on the fairway looking through the lens while pointing an air canon full of ping-pong balls at Todd’s nuts was an Academy Award winner.
“Tom! Where’s Tom? Does he know I’m losing my light?!”
He laughed often and worked quickly and he made the ridiculous seem perfectly normal. When you look him up on IMDB, Chipshot.com will not come up on his incredible list of accomplishments. He leaves behind a tremendous body of work. And we’re honored to have had the chance to spend a few days with him.

The fight for a spot in this years World Series has escalated out of the ballpark and spilled into, the library? Yep, the public libraries of Kansas City and Toronto are engaged in a Twitter war, of sorts. But the kind of Twitter war you could only get when a couple of libraries go at it.The row is not only timely, but also funny, incredibly clever and leaving us here in California following both of these accounts, waiting for the next book to be thrown.

This video for Lucky Charms took over the internet today and for good reason. It’s genius. The strategy is dead-on and the execution is hysterical. When huge, traditional brands do things by just trusting their gut, it’s a pleasure to see them be successful. We are jealous. Congrats to Saatchi and GM. And to whoever approved the idea, this is an open offer: wherever you go, whatever you do, someday we want to work with you. Love your friends at Division of Labor.

Outside magazine just named Elby one of the “5 Most Badass Utility Bikes at Interbike”. Because, well, it is. Elby is the first ebike to be built from scratch by car designers who know that ebikes are the future. So they designed it to go 90 miles on a charge with built in lighting, phone charging, hell they even hid a lock in the seat post. We’ve been riding the prototype for a few months now as we’ve been working on the brand launch. And it’s really nice working with interesting companies who are getting noticed for what they do.
