Situation
We were working at Goodby Silverstein and Partners and Rich Silverstein is good friends with Mike Sinyard of Specialized Bikes. So Rich asked us to run the account and he asked Mike to give everyone on the team bikes.
Solution
Do cool shit that Mike and his guys liked because they know their customers like nobody else. (We could make up some bullshit about insight and target market but that’s the truth.)
Results
A bunch of amazing work and a bunch of amazing bikes we still ride to this day. Obviously the stuff worked because Specialized is still at the top of the industry and the same deal still applies to creatives at GSP. Lucky fuckers. Thanks Rich. Thanks Mike.
