We spent a day in the studio photographer, Cody Pickins who shot this series of portraits representing HR professionals. Background colors were chosen from the secondary brand palette of 15Five. Test shots required a volunteer and someone had to stand in.

The success of an advertising campaign for a startup depends a lot on the investment level of the startup. Series B startups tend to steer their investment dollars toward advertising as they reach a level of growth that requires more awareness.
Division of Labor is one of the top advertising agencies in San Francisco, especially when it comes to series B startups. The agency knows how to balance awareness goals with the need for site visits and conversions.

B2B advertising campaigns do need to be handled differently than consumer ad campaigns. But the distinction is made more for media planning rather than creative planning. Media plans focus more on industry related vehicles rather than general awareness vehicles. Creatively, we still focus on a single emotional truth and always, always, always treat the decision maker as a human who makes emotional decisions. B2B decision makers still go through the awareness and consideration process the same way as consumer buyers. But they do require more follow up and detailed information at the bottom of the funnel.
